Honda Car India Limited has launched their first MPV, the Mobilio. The Honda Mobilio is available in four variants with prices starting from Rs 6.49 lakh (for S trim) all the way to Rs 10.86 lakh (applicable for the RS diesel trim) ex-Delhi.
The Mobilio is built on the extensive platform of the Brio, which it shares with the Amaze. It is a seven seater with captain seats in the middle row which can be slided for easy entry into the last bench. The MPV is 4,386mm in length with 185mm of ground clearance.
The dashboard and the upholstery remind one of the Honda Amaze/Brio. There was also a faux wood inlay dash scheme which Honda ditched due to adverse feedback. This dashboard also comprised a sat nav system, reverse parking camera and the regular audio system with a video player.
Speaking of the audio system, the one available in the Mobilio does not come with a CD player. It can play FM and allow aux and USB input.
The sportier Mobilio RS will be launched a few weeks after the regular Mobilio and will be available only in diesel. The deliveries for the Mobilio RS would begin from September 2014.
